THE STORY
A legend in more ways than one, Kombucha was created over 2000 years ago by ancient of Chinese Qigong masters.
Referring to it as their ‘Tea Immortality’ they would come down from the mountains every Spring to ferment their tea and return in Summer to share their magical elixir. These energy masters believed that it had an untapped healing power and helped create harmony within the mind, body and spirit. If it’s good enough for a Qigong master, we say it’s good enough for us!

Fascinated by fermentation? So are we! At Saba Plant-Based, we geek out on anything to do with live cultures, probiotics and gut-loving bacteria. Dating back as far as 5000 years ago in the Middle East, it’s amazing to learn that fermented yoghurt was actually used for the same medicinal, gut-healing benefits as it is today. Handcrafted using certified organic Sri Lankan coconuts, we slowly pasteurize and ferment our coconut yoghurt in Dubai to produce live, plant-powered probiotics that help support healthy digestion. Free from dairy, refined sugar and preservatives, our yoghurts are then cooled and served in enviro-friendly glass pots to help curb those sweet cravings, while fueling your gut with all the goodness.

We batch-ferment our Cocogurts using naturally sweet, certified organic Sri Lankan coconut milk. Through a slow pasteurization process, our yoghurts are activated with billions of live, plant-powered probiotics to help calm the gut and strengthen the digestion system. Totally vegan and sweetened with natural fruit and agave syrup, these yoghurts are a great pre-breakfast energy booster, post-yoga refresher or healthy afternoon delight.

THE PROCESS
When it comes to making 100% vegan, natural, preservative-free Oatgurt, we think we’ve nailed it.
We begin by soaking certified organic whole grain oats with pure, filtered water until they are soft and tender. Then, we simply blend! No artificial ingredients, no nasties and certainly no additives. Just pure, fresh, creamy Oatmilk.
Through a slow, 12-hour pasteurization process, we then ferment the milk to produce billions of live, probiotics that help calm and balance the digestive system. To finish things off, we subtly add the sweetness of agave and fruit puree to give our Oatgurt the mouthwateringly delicious flavour it deserves.
